Oleg Tsarkov has been a Managing
Partner at Renova Capital since October 2003.
Oleg is in charge of the strategic development
of the Fund. He also supervises Fund's activities
in retail, commercial real estate, and mining
sectors. Oleg represents the Fund on the Board
of Directors of MLP, Natur Produkt and Eurasia
Gold.
Oleg closed a number of M&A and public markets
transactions, including the first Russian IPO
of Red October (confectionery) in 1994, restructuring
of Severstal, acquisition of ZMZ and UAZ, IPO
of Wimm-Bill-Dann, among many others. In 2000-2003
Oleg served as the Head of Investment Banking
at Troika Dialog (www.troika.ru),
helping Troika secure a leading position in the
Russian IB advisory market by completing a number
of high-profile transactions, e.g. the first Russian
traded domestic bond issue (Slavneft), acquisition
of 49% of Rosgosstrakh by an investor consortium,
acquisition of Amstar by Efes Breweries, sale
of Botchkarev to Heineken, and a number of others.
Troika ranked #1 ruble bond underwriter during
Oleg's tenure as the Head of Investment Banking.
In 1996-1998, Oleg was the CEO at Creditanstalt
Grant, the leading Russian brokerage at the time.
While working at Creditanstalt Grant, he was a
member of National Association of Stock Market
Participants (NAUFOR), Depository Clearing Company,
and the Russian Trade System (RTS). In 1999, Oleg
acquired a Master's degree in international finance
markets at ISMA Business School at University
of Reading (U.K.).
